Who We Are

What We Collect
We collect very little.

Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies. It does not track you across other sites or build a profile of you. It gives us aggregate figures, such as how many people viewed a page, with no way to identify you as an individual.

Information you choose to give us. If you sign up with your email address, we collect that email, the date you signed up, which form you used, and whether you ticked a box agreeing to emails. Depending on the form, we also keep:
- Pathway quiz: the answers you selected.
- Updates signup: where the form sat on the page, which version of it you saw, and the route you picked, if the form asked for one.
- Citizenship by descent checker: the result the checker showed you. We do not keep your answers to its questions.
This is your choice. If you do not submit a form, we do not collect any of it.

Technical logs. Our hosting and security provider processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is normal for any website.
How We Use It
- The email and details you submit are used to send you the updates you signed up for, and to understand which forms and pages are useful. We store this securely with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not send emails through an email service provider yet. When we start, we will name the provider here.
- Aggregate analytics help us understand which content is useful and improve the site.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Legal Basis
We operate from France, so the GDPR applies. Where we process your email and the details sent with it, our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and, where the form has one, ticking its checkbox. You can withdraw it at any time.
Affiliate Links and Third Parties
Some pages may contain affiliate links. If you click one, the company or affiliate network may set its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Our Wise links run through the Partnerize affiliate network. SafetyWing links use SafetyWing’s own referral program. Genki links use Genki’s own referral program. Our affiliate disclosure explains how this works. We do not ourselves share your personal data with these companies.
Data Retention
We keep the email and details you submit until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You can ask at any time at [email protected].
Your Rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected] and we will act on your request. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In France, that is the CNIL.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning a move. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
